The Johnson Family

The Johnson family has 8 kids ranging from 17- 4.  The oldest, Demarie, was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease at birth. Our patients with Sickle Cell often find themselves admitted into the hospital for longer stays due to being in a pain crisis.  Unfortunately, Sickle Cell has no cure, and it is something Demarie will live with for his entire life.  The Johnson family has fallen into some really rough times financially (you can read more about that in the bio dad provided), but they always rally together and support their brother through his journey.  A note on their application - the two youngest (Jah'seer and Jah'aire) are twins and so they have a combined wish list because of course twins want the same things!

The Delk Family

The Delk family is dealing with the cancer diagnosis of their son.  The is the bio from the mom: “ Our son Colston, was diagnosed in April of 2024.  Since then, his father has had to take a lot of time out of work to take Colston to receive treatment in Utah every 3 weeks.  This has put a financial strain on our household.  Coston loves baseball, but unfortunately, he cannot play with his team as this time due to all the treatment he is undergoing.  Our other two children are extremely supportive of Colston.  My oldest loves cheerleading and my youngest loves baseball.  Travelling back and forth from Utah is a monthly battle we face.  We appreciate all that NVCCF has done for our family and thank you for choosing our family for this holiday program. “

The Moyle Family

This family comes to us from the adult side of the foundation.  This is a family of 5 which includes one teenager and 2 pre-teens and a very loud dog.  Zac (dad) went in for routine neck surgery a few years ago and due to a complication, he woke up half paralyzed and had to miss last Christmas with the family because he was in and out of the hospital and rehabilitation.  Thankfully he has recovered about 80% of his mobility and life was getting back to normal when Tammy (mom) was diagnosed with breast cancer and has spent this year going through treatment.  Landon (14), Piper (12) and Dylan (10) have shown such strength for their parents and tremendous courage through it all.
